I bet you didn’t know that more people watch the NFL Draft than the NBA Finals in the USA. This probably explains all the betting markets available to us this time of the year. It’s also a lot of boos Roger Goodell has to deal with when he walks out on that podium.

The real sad story behind the NFL Draft is that you cannot combine all these quirky special bets into accumulators. C’est la vie… but we can still look for value while betting singles. Not only that, there might be a little bit of correlation too…

NFL Draft 2025 best bet

Jaxson Dart Draft Position – Under 24.5 at EVS (+100)

Available at Bet365

This value is too good given the fact that this market is juiced to the ‘’Over’’ at 19/25 (-131). Here’s my handicap.

At worst, Dart is supposed to be the third quarterback coming off the board in this year’s draft. We already know full well that the Titans aren’t trading the No.1 pick and are likely going to get Cam Ward.

Let’s do the math together; One QB already off the board by the time the Cleveland Browns pick up the phone to tell Travis Hunter they are selecting him with the Number 2 pick (and possibly ruining his professional career before it has even started).

Shedeur is supposedly the 2nd QB that we will see fly off the board. Now here’s the catch: I don’t see the Giants picking him up at 3 because they have two newly signed (and yet dysfunctional) quarterbacks.

We got Vegas at six and we got the Jets at seven. This is where Sanders will hear his phone ring. Both teams need a culture changer and both teams have swept their front offices (and coaching staffs) clean.

Now here come the Saints at nine absolutely desperate for a quarterback. Whatever happens, it appears they are getting their guy. If by some miracle Sanders falls to 9th, so be it, but he will be drafted there at the latest.

This leaves 15 teams that can potentially select Jaxson Dart for our bet to be a winner. Of these teams, the ones that realistically might look at drafting a QB are:

  • The Dolphins (Pick 13) – Yes, Tua is there but his contract has a potential out in 2026.
  • The Seahawks (Pick 18) – Darnold may be seen as a bridge/short-term QB.
  • The Buccaneers (Pick 19) – Baker’s contract ends in 2026. He might be done there.
  • The Steelers (Pick 21) – They need a starting caliber quarterback like blood. This is one of the main reasons why I think Dart gets selected before the 25th pick.
  • The Giants (Pick 24) – I don’t see them picking a QB at 3, but at 24, the NY team might grab a young star under center.

All of these angles lead me to believe that getting a no-vig price for Jaxson Dart to be a top 24 pick is an excellent deal for us as bettors.

NFL Draft 2025 second-best bet

Top 10 pick – Shedeur Sanders at 3/2 (+150)

Available at Bet365

All the logic I applied above also leads me to think that Shedeur Sanders will be selected within the first ten picks in the draft. Even if we aren’t sure about the Giants, Raiders, and the Jets, having New Orleans picking 9th is what really swings me in that direction.

Inside the top 10, we have five teams that need a new face in the pocket, so this is definitely a favourable line to bet on.

Why not the “Total QBs selected in the First round’’ then?

The line is O/U 2.5 and it’s really heavily juiced to the Over at 1/2 (-200). This presents some awful value when you compare it to Jaxson Dart’s 1/1 (+100) to be selected before Pick number 25.

We already know who the top 3 QBs are. What we also know is which teams pick between 25 and 32. Here they are (in order):

  • Houston
  • LA Rams
  • Baltimore
  • Detroit
  • Washington
  • Buffalo
  • Kansas
  • Philadelphia

None of these teams will even think about submitting a ticket with a QB on it. They are all set when it comes to their signal callers. When you bet the ‘’Over 2.5 QBs selected in the first Round’’ you are essentially saying ‘’Dart will be picked at 24 at the latest’’. Great, so take the even odds for that to happen and forget about this square bet.

NFL Draft 2025 bonus bet

LA Rams Position of first drafted player – Offensive Lineman at 2/1 (+200)

Available at DraftKings and Betano

The Betano line here is 3/1 (+300). That’s surely the best EV you can get for that particular selection anywhere.

Look, Matthew Stafford is old. They thought he might be done this past year. Instead, he signed an extension. I don’t know what possessed the Rams to do it, but they did it. Jimmy Garoppolo is the backup and he is equally immobile.

The Rams already paid Devante Adams (WR) to replace Cooper Kupp and they have Puka Nacua across from him to run routes and jump over defenders. Tutu Atwell rounds out this wide receivers corps with some speed.

‘’But wait, how will our old pocket passing quarterbacks complete passes to our skill positions if our offensive line resembles the starting gate at the Grand National?” – hopefully, Sean McVay and Les Snead asked themselves this over lunch at some point in early March.

Currently the likes of Alaric Jackson, Steve Avila, Coleman Shelton, Kevin Dotson and Rob Havenstein remind me of a badly written script about UPS drivers and pizza delivery guys. This line needs attention and the 2025 NFL Draft holds plenty of options. I’m taking a flyer here and betting the 3/1 at Betano.
