After an explosive Friday opener, the 2025/26 Premier League season resumes in fine fettle, and there are plenty of new signings expected to make their debuts.
These players that are the focus of our bet builders this weekend. Average bookmaker odds shown.
Bet builder 1: Wolves vs Man City: Rayan Cherki to score or assist, Man City to win (-1 handicap), and Under 10 Corners (9/2)
Manchester City have spent the bulk of their summer signing reinforcements in defensive areas, but the acquisition of playmaker Rayan Cherki shouldn’t be dismissed.
The club’s new number ten is responsible for replacing Kevin de Bruyne’s output, and his numbers for Lyon last season were impressive. The 21-year-old contributed 32 goals and assists in 44 games across all competitions for his former club last season.
In terms of Man City winning by two goals or more, this is a no-brainer at 11/8. Wolves lost their two best players over the summer, and the Blues have won by this margin or more on three of their last five visits to Molineux.
Fewer than ten corners have been taken in three of the last four matches between these two teams, so that’s also a great addition to this bet builder at a price greater than evens.
Bet builder 2: Chelsea vs Crystal Palace: Joao Pedro to score anytime, over 3.5 goals, and Chelsea to be winning at half-time (10/1)
Although Joao Pedro has also made competitive appearances for Chelsea, thanks to the Club World Cup, this will be his first Premier League appearance for the club.
Pedro made an excellent start to his Chelsea career at the CWC, scoring three goals in three appearances in the USA. The ex-Brighton man has followed that up with two goals in two pre-season friendlies in the lead-up to the start of the new campaign.
It’s highly unlikely that Joao Pedro will be the only goalscorer on Sunday, too. Crystal Palace have been involved in plenty of high-scoring matches in recent times, with a total of 12 goals being scored across their last three competitive outings.
It’s Chelsea who are the likelier of the two teams to be leading at the break, though. The Blues have had the lead at half-time in four of their last five competitive matches.
Bet builder 3: Man Utd vs Arsenal: Benjamin Sesko to score anytime, both teams to score, and Manuel Ugarte to be carded (15/2)
Benjamin Sesko may have only signed for Manchester United last week, but the Slovenian is expected to come straight into the starting XI, as Joshua Zirkzee is still recovering from injury and Rasmus Hojlund won’t be risked due to a potential move away from the club.
Sesko ended last season in brilliant form on home soil, scoring three goals in RB Leipzig’s final three home matches.
Both teams to score feels like a relatively safe bet for a match between Man Utd vs Arsenal, as this has happened in three of the last four meetings between the clubs at Old Trafford.
Finally, Manuel Ugarte is as close to a walking yellow card as you will find in the Premier League. The Uruguayan picked up 11 yellow cards in 2024/25 and managed to rack them up in just 1,789 minutes – an average of one yellow card every 162 minutes, which was the highest in the league.
